Psychiatric Physician Assistant

PA-Owned Outpatient Psychiatry | North Carolina | Full Time | 100% Telehealth

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Full-spectrum outpatient psychiatry (excluding MAT) for children, adolescents, and adults

  • Comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including psychotherapy counseling and medication management

  • Manage portal messages, order labs, school/work letters, forms, and prior authorizations

  • Schedule follow ups; new patients will be onboarded and scheduled for you

  • Visit lengths: 20 to 40-minute follow ups and 60-minute new patients

  • No weekends or call requirements

Autonomy and Workflow

  • Full clinical ownership: manage your panel, schedule structure, and follow-up intervals

  • Direct control over patient communication and treatment pacing

  • Standardized templates, macros, and optimized workflows designed to make documentation efficient and defensible

  • Streamlined systems reduce unnecessary administrative layers

What We’re Looking For

  • Driven Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of psychiatric experience; psychiatric experience through family medicine or other specialties may be considered

  • Strong passion for lifestyle psychiatry

  • Comfortable treating a range of patient ages, including pediatrics

  • Proficiency in telehealth environment

  • Strong psychotherapy skills and experience

  • Values autonomy and can manage workflow independently

  • Interested in growing within a modern, streamlined, PA-owned private practice

  • CAQ favored but not required

Compensation and Incentives

  • Base salary: $120,000 annually

  • Productivity bonuses: Monthly productivity incentives based on clinical volume and complexity; up to $150,000

Requirements
